Art, as the text of culture construction, is concreted as a static reality on time, space and significance level during the diachronic process. The existence of vacancy in symbolic order indicates the revelation of the substance. "Substance is extremely solid, non-penetrable, bearing the symbolization-resisting kernel, however, it is purely misty at the same time". Just like what Slavoj Zizek describes the "stone", "it resists symbolization and dialecticalization, and sticks to its own position." Substance reveals itself by a series of consequences. When creating art works, artists enter a non-daily, real state of "spiritualization", blurring the boundary between subject and object, in an unprotected condition,completely undistracted by the worldly matters. Under such a condition, the substance in art works scatters like nebula, passing through time and becoming more and more "violent" with the development of the solidification of personal experience and consciousness structure, immersing artists in the “born pleasure ” of offense, disolving personal experience, and finally fusing themselves with substance by the magic of time.
On the logic level, substance is regarded as "an imaginative object that has not yet been framed in the subjective symbolic world", showing kind of structural causality. Just like the narrative in the thought of Madhyamika, "eliminating the existence and nothing, never setting on either side", substance flows like shift, as "the button tie pointed out by Lacan, tie the floating energy with meta ideology, and settle their meanings". Artists tie the whole field of substance and subjective symbolic order by presenting the vision, framing the perception of reality image. Using the representative object as method, a dynamic, non-binary opposition, amorphous body flows naturally to the viewer, injecting some kind of past to present, dispelling the opposition between the essence and phenomena, so that the essence turns to the presentational, leading the viewer to a purely real world.
