As one of the leaders of Chinese expressive painters, Jia Difei has written his imagination of life and nature in a personalized style since the 1980s. The irritating colors, dense and flowing lines constitute an elusive and bizarre scene—the scene that is both "real" and "surreal" contains what he called "the vibration and illusion of the poet's soul." His expressive language and schema have attracted many followers, and his creations show infinite vitality in the simple natural or profound cultural environment, which is always difficult for latecomers to reach.
